polypropylene. Dimensions are roughly 3/16″ (5mm) x 3/16″ (5mm) x 1/8″ (3.5mm) with 1/4″ (7mm) solder tails. Modify your IEMs and give them removable cables, or use these to hold the pins when making your own custom cables. High quality, same model as used in high end custom IEMs from JH Audio and others.

This type of sockets with 0.78 mm diameter hole, it suits for those cables which are made by 0.78 mm pin connectors

Note

1. Please take extra care when soldering and do not rest soldering iron too long on the contact pins.

2. Use compressed air, like computer duster, to blow out the socket after grinding and shaping the faceplate. This will remove any particles that could jam up the fit.

3. Excessive soldering time can tighten up the fit. Be quick. You can touch up the cable pins with fine sandpaper to loosen the fit, or allow it to relax naturally with use.
